Coming together virtually
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the WAA was unable to host the 17th International Congress in Turkey in October 2020 as originally planned. However, in April 2021, the WAA hosted a virtual webinar entitled Apheresis Applications in the Covid Pandemic with four international guest speakers.
Due to the success of this international webinar, the WAA hosted another virtual webinar on September 15, 2021 on the Role of Apheresis in Cellular Therapies,Transplantation and Thrombosis Following Covid-19. A total of four presentations were given.
